Types Of PS5 Controller Reset Methods
A PS5 controller can be efficient using one of two methods;
- A gentle reset
- Hard resetting

Soft Reset A PS5 Controller

Step 2: Place the PS5 controller on a table and turn it upside down so you can access the reset button hole on the back of the controller. There are two holes; The reset is to the right of the SONY logo. Insert the SIM card ejector pin or a paperclip into the small hole to press the reset button. You will hear a slight click when you push it to the right.
Step 3: Press the button for about 3-5 seconds to reset the DualSense controller.
Step 4: To reconnect the PS5 controller with your PS5 device, use a USB cable to connect the controller to the console and press the PS button. It should turn on the controller and start syncing with your PS5.
Before resetting your PS5 controllers, make sure to fix fundamental issues such as:
- Search for updates
- Make sure the cables are correctly connected
- Unlink and link the controllers to the console
You can proceed with the reset if your controller isn’t working correctly after the troubleshooting steps above.
